Two of HBO's comedies have received a new season order. "Eastbound & Down", which tells a story of relief pitcher-turns-gym-teacher Kenny Powers, and "Bored to Death", which follows a writer moonlighting as a private detective, would be back for season 3, HBO confirmed.
In its sophomore year, "Eastbound" debuted well with 1.7 million average which is 150% higher than the series premiere. Meanwhile, "Bored to Death" is less impressive with 1.1 million but it has been steady in rating throughout the weeks. In this manner, HBO has officially renewed all of its Sunday line-up. "Boardwalk Empire" has earlier been renewed for a second season.
"Bored to Death" actor Jason Schwartzman apparently has a confident in the show's sophomore year since the beginning. Back in August, he told Zap2It, "It's the time of my life. I honestly never want it to end. HBO is so cool. The cast is so cool. We all love it, and we just want another one."

'Eastbound and Down' and ored to Death' Would Be Back for Season 3
The End of Season 5 Is ig Love'
"Big Love" is going to leave the TV screen with dignity next year. The show about a polygamist but breakaway Mormon church members family is ending its run after five seasons not because it loses viewers but because it has come full circle in the storytelling.
Creators Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer said that the show has run its course, stating "When we created 'Big Love' in 2002, we had a strong conception of the journey the Henrickson family would make over the course of the series, of the story we had to tell. While we were in the writers' room this year shaping our fifth season, we discovered that we were approaching the culmination of that story."
HBO announced on Thursday, October 28 that the January 16 premiere would be the beginning of the final season. The cable's president of programing Michael Lombardo said, "I'm happy (the creators) will be able to bring the story to its close the way they always envisioned."
Scheffer refused to dish out details of the final season but told E! Online that "you'll agree this is definitively our best season to date". Meanwhile, star Chloe Sevigny is more generous. She said, "I think that finally you see the Henricksons having to deal with some consequences, for their actions and for their lifestyle. And they are finally getting a little bit of comeuppance."

David Hasselhoff Plays Captain Hook in Pantomime
David Hasselhoff is following in the footsteps of his former "Baywatch" co-star Pamela Anderson by signing up to appear in a traditional Christmas pantomime in London. Anderson performed as Genie of the Lamp in "Aladdin" over the 2009 festive season and she is set to return to Britain for a second stint onstage in December.
And now her former colleague Hasselhoff is following suit - he has agreed to play notorious villain Captain Hook in a revival of "Peter Pan" at the New Wimbledon Theatre, the same venue where Anderson made her pantomime debut last year.
Hasselhoff says, "Peter Pan is a show that has always been close to my heart, as my first theatre role was playing Lost Boy Nibs when I was a child. I am so delighted to be asked to join this British tradition. I know all about pantomime as some of my good friends have already appeared in previous productions."
Hasselhoff's run begins on December 10.
James Cameron is apparently pouring his love in 'Sanctum'
James Cameron is apparently pouring his love for diving in "Sanctum" which he produces. Now Apple has got its hand on a trailer for the upcoming movie set in the last unexplored territory that has the most beautiful and least accessible cave system on Earth.
The film will focus on underwater cave divers' efforts to survive after their expedition to the cave is ruined by a tropical storm. Forced to go deep into the caverns, they must fight raging water, deadly terrain and creeping panic as they search for an unknown escape route to the sea.
Alister Grierson serves as a director for "Sanctum" with a script provided by Andrew Wight and John Garvin. Richard Roxburgh, Alice Parkinson, Ioan Gruffudd and Rhys Wakefield are among the cast ensemble of the adventure thriller, which is due February 4, 2011 in the U.S.
